In just over 2 weeks British Summer Time will come to an end, and the evenings will become darker earlier. The clocks will go forward (remember, 'Spring forward' and 'Fall back') on 30th October and Christmas will be creeping that little bit closer.
Luxury chocolate maker, Elizabeth Shaw, are encouraging people to use their 'free hour' when the clocks change to do something thoughtful for someone else, rather than just enjoying that extra hour in bed.
It doesn't have to be a huge gesture, and can be something as simple as walking an elderly neighbour's dog, offering to babysit for an hour to allow a friend to go to the shops without the kids, or passing on a pile of magazines to someone that you know will enjoy them.
How will you be spending your hour?
Can you think of any thoughtful gestures that you would make?
I am offering a prize of a £50 hamper full of Elizabeth Shaw chocolates, to one reader who shares their idea for a thoughtful gesture.
