Loyd Grossman Lasagne Sauces

We all love a good lasagne but it's one of those meals that needs me to be a little organised, as it's not a dish that can be rustled up quickly. I very rarely buy jars of cooking sauces as I find the flavour is much better when it's home made, so a lasagne made from scratch would involve cooking the meat sauce as well as making a white sauce and then layering the whole thing up and cooking it in the oven. This is why we don't eat it very often and would usually end up with a bolognaise or similar instead.

Lloyd Grossman now have sauces that make rustling up a lasagne a bit of a breeze. I did mention that I very rarely buy jars of cooking sauces, but if I was to it would definitely be a Loyd Grossman sauce, I just love their Tomato and Basil as it tastes just as good as home made.

All that you need to add is beef mince (or in my case, pork mince), a few lasagne sheets and some grated cheese. Brown the mince off, add the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes and then layer it all up with the white sauce and top with cheese before popping in the oven for around 30 minutes.

I don't like to make things too easy for myself and ended up making my own lasagne sheets with my new pasta machine (more on that another time), but the end result was great and it tasted just like home made lasagne.

I was sent the lasagne sauces for the purpose of this review
