Vivid Imaginations

Many moons ago, back in the early 90's I worked for Matchbox Toys. I loved the job as it meant I got to play with toys all day, all in the name of research of course. I worked in Consumer Services so it was necessary for the job to know the ins and outs of most of the toys. I was still working there during the Tracy Island fiasco of Christmas 1992 when every man and his dog wanted a Thunderbirds Tracy Island playset and there were none to be found. Almost every telephone call we had was from a stressed parent trying to locate the 'must-have' toy on their child's Christmas list. You may remember that Blue Peter showed viewers how to make their own Tracy Island which saved Christmas for families all over the Country.

Eight years on the Tracy Island was voted the Most Elusive Toy of the Year by the Toy Retailers association as it had proved to be popular all over again. By this time though Vivid Imaginations were now distributing it, a Company set up in 1992 by two of the Directors of Matchbox Toys. Last week I came across Vivid Imaginations on Twitter and it was a bit of a blast from the past so I started following them. A couple of days later I received a message to say that they were going to send me a goody bag as a thank you for the follow. Today I received the goody bag and it's packed full of toys that Jack and Hanna are going to love.

Vivid Imaginations have so many popular toys brands and there's something for children of all ages.

You can find Vivid Imaginations on Twitter here

I was sent the above toys as a thank you, I haven't been asked to review them or write about them, I chose to do that.
