The idea of the biscuit club is to try out a selection of carefully chosen biscuits and get them delivered to your own door without having to search them out. The biscuits are the kinds that you find in Farm shops and often in gift shops in holiday destinations, but not in Supermarkets.
We were sent a selection of biscuits and they arrived well packaged in a cardboard outer box, with plenty of packaging to keep them from getting crushed.
Some were packaged in boxes or cardboard tubes and some in a plastic tray and cellophane, depending on the manufacturer.

Inside the box was a list of all the biscuits included and a short description of each and a map showing where in the UK each biscuit is made. All of the biscuits are made in small traditional bakeries, helping to support British Industries.
Chocolate Chip & Cherry Cookies - Farrah’s have done it again, this time adding delicious chunks of Cherry to their traditional Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe to produce a biscuit with real flavour. Even the designer tin that these great biscuits come in screams quality!
All Butter Oaties - These delicious Oaties are baked to the original Oatie recipe, but Franks have replaced the original fat content with 100% butter to produce an enhanced flavour that simply has to be tasted.
Clotted Cream Shortbread - Lovingly made to a traditional recipe using dollops of real Cornish clotted cream and pure Cornish butter from the Trewithen Dairy, a local family run farm Dairy only a few miles down the road from Furniss HQ in Lostwithiel.
Fruit Shortbread - This traditional shortbread biscuit, which has a buttery flavour and short texture, simply melts in your mouth. The juxtaposition between the buttery sweetness of the biscuit and the sharp fruity flavour of the currants brings out the essence of both.
Orange Crunch Biscuits - Beautifully tangy with a delightful crunch, this biscuit is a great example of why Farrah’s are world renowned for their fine foods. Their baking background dates back to 1840 and they still based in their historic home of Harrogate.
Luxury Chocolate Chip Cookies
Banoffee Oaties - A lip-smacking oat biscuit which combines the classic flavours of banana and rich creamy toffee pieces beautifully. This special biscuit was a favourite of the judges at the 2011 Great Taste Awards, awarding it with 2 Gold Stars.
It's a hard job testing biscuits but I suppose someone has to do it so, in the name of research, I tried each an every one of the biscuits with my top 3 being the Banoffee Oaties with a distinct taste of banana and toffee and a good crunch, the All Butter Oaties flavoured with golden syrup which were lovely and crispy, then the Luxury Chocolate Chip which were packed full of chocolate chunks and were of a soft but crispy texture.
I then set the taste testers to work (they never complain at these jobs) and they gave each biscuit a score out of 5. Daddy came home and did the same.
Each biscuit was then given an average result based on these scores.
Chocolate Chip & Cherry Cookies 3/5
All Butter Oaties 4/5
Clotted Cream Shortbread 2/5
Fruit Shortbread 3/5
Orange Crunch Biscuits 1/5
Luxury Chocolate Chip Cookies 4/5
Banoffee Oaties 4/5
I never told anyone what the biscuits were called to give all the biscuits a fair chance, proved by the fact that Daddy gave the Chocolate Chip & Cherry biscuits 4.5 out of 5 which is surprising considering he declares that he doesn't like cherries in any form.
The Luxury Chocolate Chip were a big hit with the kids who both gave them a whopping 5 out of 5.
