End Extreme Hunger

My children have never felt what it likes to be hungry, although they often tell me they are. They have never felt real hunger, not knowing when or what their next meal would be. Not like the 400,000 children around the world who's lives are at risk due to increasing food prices.

Save the Children have stepped up to the mark once again and, along with other charities, have developed a Charter to End Extreme Hunger.

Up to 750,000 people face death from hunger in East Africa. Millions more are at risk across the region in the worst food crisis of the 21st century. They will have to bear a legacy of poverty, suffering, and the loss of their livelihoods. Urgent action is needed right now.

Save the Children are not only asking people to sign the petition asking for David Cameron to sign the Charter, but for those people to represent their cities to help spread the word in their #66cities campaign.

The lovely Mother's Always Right is asking us all to help spread the word via our blogs by doing the following :

  • Share a picture of your child covered in food eating beautifully on your blog. Then ask your readers to sign the petition asking for David Cameron to support the Charter to End Extreme Hunger.
  • Tweet about it, using the #66Cities hashtag.
  • Go back and link your post here. She will tweet it and shout about it a bit (she has a rather loud voice - her words not mine!).
So, what are you waiting for..... SIGN THE PETITION.
