Annabel's Kitchen - Review & Giveaway

Winners of a copy of the DVD each are @MultipleMummy and @pandcands. Please DM me on Twitter or contact me.

In conjunction with my Cooking with Your Toddler feature on this blog we have been sent a copy of the newly released Annabels Kitchen – Cook Along with Kids DVD to watch. The DVD includes 9 of the best episodes from the hit CiTV cookery series. The DVD has a Sesame Street feel about it but less American and is full of bright characters – Jimmy, Pearl and other fun penguin helpers.

Annabel's Kitchen shows children how to make fun and easy meals including healthy breakfasts, after school snacks and family meals.

After watching the DVD with Jack we tried out the simple Raspberry and Banana Smoothie recipe.

Ingredients
1 small banana
50g raspberries
50g strawberries
3tbsp strawberry yoghurt
1 - 2 tsp honey, or to taste

This recipe makes 1 glass so we doubled it up to make more, and used blackcurrant yoghurt instead of strawberry.

He enjoyed making it but unfortunately, as you can see, he didn't actually like drinking it but big brother Sam enjoyed it though.

The running time of the certificate U DVD is 100 minutes and it retails at £12.99 and also includes a free recipe book featuring all the recipes from the DVD, along with a discount for 40% off Annabel Karmel books (pc or Mac required to access discount from DVD).

You can find more recipes and fun games on the Annabel's Kitchen website on itv.com here or on Facebook here.

    27. Maybe Jack would like to try our recipe? We make this milkshake at home all the time!

      For 3-4 people:

      2 bananas,
      about 300 ml of milk,
appr. 3 scoops of vanilla ice-cream,
      5-6 ice cubes
      AND BLEND!

No need to put any honey- it is sweet enough!

      :-)
