Cake glorious cake.........

I came across Sponge Cakes a while ago on Facebook and have spent many a moment drooling over their delicious creations and dreaming of the time that I would get my hands on a large slice of the mouthwatering cake.

Last week I finally got to try out their Apple Crumble Cake and it lived up to all expectations. It was moist and full of big juicy pieces of apple and sultanas with a hint of cinnamon, sandwiched together with smooth vanilla buttercream and a crumbly topping.

The cakes are made with quality ingredients and not full of additives or preservatives like many supermarket cakes, and they taste just like home made. All cakes are suitable for vegetarians and can be frozen. They can even make the Carrot or Apple Crumble cakes Gluten Free upon request.

Is your mouth watering yet?

Wait until you see all the other flavours that they have too, including :

  • Chocolate
  • Bakewell
  • Strawberry
  • Coffee
  • Lemon
  • Carrot

.......to name a few.

If you sign up for their newsletter you also get the chance to 'Give One Get One Free' on any of their 7" sponges.......an offer that you will find hard to resist.

You can also add a personalised card to your order for an additional £1.50.

The cake arrived by courier on the date I requested, well packaged in a outer cardboard box with the cake wrapped in cellophane and cardboard inside, and it even came with napkins.

I have not been paid for this review, nor did I receive the cake free of charge.....I just wanted to tell my readers how good these cakes are.......

  1. OMG! Why didn't you tweet this to me when you posted it the other day? I am SERIOUSLY craving this cake now. I really want one but can't justify it just as a treat :(

I think I wrote it shortly after our twitter conversation...you didn't need any more tempting! Wait until someone does something nice for you & send it as a thankyou (give one get one free!), that's what I did....it was an offer I couldn't refuse!
